To the editor:

We need to note some corrections and omissions to last month’s article covering the Cranberry Isles Town meeting. This year the meal was hosted and prepared by Ladies Aid as is their custom to do every other year when the meeting is held on Great Cranberry Island. The fare was an astonishingly ambitious meal of Cornish Game hens, voted on as an alternative to the traditional Pot Luck by Ladies Aid and prepared in multiple steps by several members of the entire Cranberry Isles community.

Renna Colby, Harry Bears and Richard Beal cleaned the birds and set them to bake early in the morning of the Town meeting. Later, Kelly Sanborn, Marc Alley, Annie Alley and Gail Colby prepared the meal. Beverly Sanborn made the salad while Barbara Meyers decorated the tables. Thanks must also be given to the women who baked a variety of delicious pies for desert and to Karin Whitney who vacuumed and mopped all the floors after the event.
