The Island Institute, a nonprofit organization located in Rockland, ME, has an immediate opening for a talented and experienced VP of Finance & Administration to oversee all aspects of the Institute’s finance, Human Resources, retail sales, MIS & technology, and building operations functions. These include but are not limited to supervising the day-to-day activities of the Finance & Administration staff, developing a strategic finance plan, developing and managing operating and capital budgets, administering employee benefits, overseeing all aspects of management information systems and dbase management, and overseeing all aspects of building operations. This executive position reports to the President and works closely with the Board of Trustees.
Prerequisites: B.A. in finance, accounting, or business, Master’s degree preferred. Extensive experience developing and managing budgets, and track record in finance, managerial accounting, human resource management, and/or nonprofit law and administration.
