To the editor:
In the Island Journal on page 6 there is a photo of a lobsterboat and the waterfront home of a lobsterman, both for sale at Vinalhaven. This property did sell. The buyer was a younger lobsterman. He had another house and workshop so he rents the house to a sternman and rents a shop that isn’t shown in the photo to another lobsterman. The older lobsterman has a home on the mainland and bought land on Vinalhaven. He plans to continue lobstering at a slower pace. So this was a working waterfront success story….
