To the editor:
I enjoyed the article on the new bridge as I’m sure many did but I have a comment. Ms. Dinsmore said that the type of construction being used is a cradle system. I’m not positive but I think that the wire bridge in New Portland Maine and spanning the Carrabasset is the same construction. It was built around 1865.
